Advanced Design Technology (ADT) has commenced planning for an expansion of its operational footprint in Fyshwick, ACT, and is pleased to confirm that it has secured local government planning approval for the development.
The planned expansion will grow ADT's engineering, manufacturing and integration capacity in the Canberra region, supporting continued investment in sovereign defence technology and the local jobs that go with it. Early planning is now under way, with design and delivery milestones to be confirmed as the project progresses.
An important first step
Securing local government planning approval is a key early milestone for any facility development. With that approval in hand, ADT can move forward into detailed planning for the expanded site — reinforcing its long-term commitment to Fyshwick as the home of its sovereign engineering and manufacturing operations.
"This is an important first step. Planning approval gives us the confidence to invest further in Fyshwick and in the local team that makes our sovereign capability possible." — An ADT spokesperson
ADT will share further details — including scope, timeline and capability — as the planning process advances. The expansion is in its planning phase and is not yet complete.
